COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM FY 2018–2019

The City of Mount Vernon is inviting eligible non-profit 501 (c)(3) organizations to submit applications for the Community Development Block Grant funds for the 2018- 2019 program year.
Pre-application workshops will be held so that interested groups can review the process of submitting an application to be considered for funds. Applicants will be required to attend one of the three pre-application workshops.
Applications will be due no later than 4:00 pm on Friday, May 25, 2018, at City Hall, 1 Roosevelt Square, Mount Vernon, NY 10550.
To be eligible, a program must satisfy one of the following national objectives:
- Provide a benefit to low and moderate income persons,
- Prevent or eliminate slums and blight, or
- Meet other urgent community development needs due to natural disasters or other emergencies.
