Google Brings Digital Coaching to Small Business Round Table Seminars

On Tuesday, February 13, 2018, Mayor Richard Thomas hosted a workshop by Google to teach small business owners how to stay ahead of the competition by optimizing their web-based search results.

The event was the third in the mayor’s Small Business Round Table Series and featured the CEO of C-Suite Coach Angelina Darrisaw who laid out the steps and practices necessary to help businesses become the first listing that pops up when people in your community search for the services your company offers. She also discussed how businesses can maximize the digital real estate on their web sites.

The event, held at the Roosevelt Professional Building, drew over 50 businesses from the City of Mount Vernon.

Darrisaw thanked Mayor Thomas for his involvement in the program. “I’ve done many of these events, and a lot of times you may have elected officials that put their names on things but don’t show up, so I really hope that you value the community you have here and the investment of your elected officials [Mayor Thomas] for showing up and really taking that time to demonstrate care for your businesses.”
