Mayor Richard Thomas on Mornings with Bob Marrone — WVOX November 7, 2017

Earlier today, Mayor Richard Thomas joined Bob Marrone on WVOX to talk about what’s going on in the City of Mount Vernon. Mayor Thomas covered many issues with Bob, but most importantly, they discussed the meeting with the Journal News Editorial Review Board in which the Mayor discussed the ongoing concerns with the Urban Renewal Agency and our fight to save this vital organization after decades of mismanagement.

Mayor Thomas also spoke about our fight to gain access to the books and records of the City of Mount Vernon. We believe the taxpayers deserve transparency and we are fighting to bring it to you. The Administration has successfully fought for a court order compelling JP Morgan Chase to give the Mayor access to the accounts. The Mayor expects to have access to inspect the city’s bank accounts in the coming weeks.
