Memorial Field will return this summer in a major way

Today Mayor Thomas and Legislator Lyndon Williams celebrated the Memorial Field news, with a promise to our young people that the Field will return this summer in a major way.

They were joined by School Board Trustee Wanda White and the entire Razorback family in presenting the football league with their trophies. Special commendations for excellence in academic performance to select players at the Armory. Special tributes were given to the late Tony Williams who chaired the league and suddenly passed away recently, a devastating blow to the organization and our entire Mount Vernon family. While we mourn his loss, we celebrate his life with his wife Dena Williams, interim Director of the Mount Vernon Youth Bureau, and daughter, who remain dedicated to driving the Razorbacks forward.
