Small Business Round Table Series — Women Entrepreneurship Seminar, March 28, 2018

On Wednesday, Mayor Richard Thomas Hosted the latest in his Small Business Round Table Seminar Series; this one focused on women in business, particularly those who are entrepreneurs. Speakers at seminar included Sylvia Herzog from the Women’s Enterprise Development Center, Wendy Wollner, President and CEO of Balancing Life Issues, Inc., and Jacqueline Warner, Esq.

The discussion focused on work-life balance issues, specifically for women business owners and strategies for growing and empowering women in business.

The City also recognized three women for their dedication and service to Mount Vernon and their community. The awards were given to Casandra Shelton-Oates, Kelly Gardner, and Claudette Gyles.
