Urban Renewal Agency Meeting

A regularly scheduled Urban Renewal Agency Meeting was held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 9:30am in the Mayor’s Conference Room. The following members of the board were present: Chairman Richard Thomas, Vice Chairman Lawrence Porcari, Council President Lisa Copeland, and Treasurer Darren Morton. Comptroller Deborah Reynolds was not present.

On the agenda to be discussed were the reading and approval of the minutes from the previous meeting, updates regarding bills and communication, the report of the Executive Director, reports of committees, unfinished business and new business. There were five (5) resolutions for consideration on the agenda that were passed:

1. Selecting Allied Community Enterprises (ACE) as the Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) to work with the city of Mount Vernon Urban Renewal Agency

2. Approving Allied Community Enterprises (ACE) a Community Housing Development Organization to enter into an agreement with the city of Mount Vernon Agency

3. Approving Westchester Residential Opportunities (WRO) to enter into an agreement with the city of Mount Vernon Urban Renewal Agency

4. Approving the Department of Recreation to enter into an agreement with the city of Mount Vernon Urban Renewal Agency

5. Approving the Department of Public Works to enter into an agreement with the city of Mount Vernon Urban Renewal Agency
