For the week of June 11th to June 17th, crime is down 45% in five key categories: Robbery (~50% decline), Assault (~100% decline), Burglary (~50% decline), Grand Larceny (~75% Decline), and Grand Larceny Auto (~50% Decline). A detailed synopsis of the weekly crime statistics is below (along with historical comparables dating back to 2011).

Crime overall is down 31% year to date 2018 vs. 2017

These stats show how hard our dedicated policemen and women are working despite being underfunded and understaffed, as the department is continuing to do more with less.

According to Westchester County crime statistics, violent crime in Mount Vernon for 2017 is down more than 36% over 2016.

The Thomas Administration will continue its commitment to transparency by releasing these weekly crime statistics as they become available.
