Mayor Richard Thomas issued the following statement in response to today’s adjournment in the matter of the City Council’s attempt to stop work at Memorial Field. “The City Council would consider Memorial Field never opening as a victory. The judge simply postponed the matter another week because the Council’s attorney were not ready.
The judge acknowledged that the Department of Environmental Conservation consent order is the controlling document regarding Memorial Field.”
